I feel like a prodigal son, having run away and then after thinking long and hard about where home really is, comes back into his father's arms.
In some sort of a way, I feel the same way here.
Back when I finished my CV term, i don't know why, but I just stopped doing everything altogether; egging on the community and even egging on my own photographic interests... In short, I ran and hid. Got myself wired down into the rigours of work on the Reuters Pictures Desk which I am still working to this day, roughly 5 years in and simply forgot about dA. I mean I was here watching and lurking, but I wasn't doing anything.
Just thinking back, I could have been better. Heck, I could have done better in so many things, on so many levels. I could have been a better moderator of the photojournalism genre here on this art medium. I could have continued to share and bring out the years of experience of looking at world-class images to this community. I could even have been less of an ass and being even more of a light while serving my CV role on the amazing team moonbeam13 put together. Could I do it better if I did it all over again? Yes, and I would do so many things differently.
In short, this many years on, i'm really glad that i've grown up and matured just a little bit more.
But i'm thankful people actually do remember me. UseR2006, Kaz-D and hey, even Heidi remembers me!
I haven't posted much in a while, but it's time to do that. It's time to continue giving back and passing it on. After all, I wasn't the December 2010's Deviousness award recipient for nothing . Stay tuned to see more.

It's been a while
Hey people of dA,
It's been a while indeed...
Things just dropped off and I never found the energy to come by this page anymore. I don't know what it was. Maybe it was a lack of momentum and motivation to come here and post things.
Just a quiet update about my life:
My job at work retrenched half our desk, myself included, in December 2016 when they decided that the picture desk headquarters should move to Poland for budget reasons. I was a little bummed but knowing that I got a nice fat cheque in due severance was worth it (seven months for the seven years i've worked at the job!)
With my time ending at the office come July, this left m
In Sickness and In Health
So what's the backstory of this series "In Sickness and In Health"?
With the Indonesian forest fires burning for months now, with no sign of stopping until the new year, I took the initiative to create an illustrative story of how wedding couples getting married in this period would be immediately tested in their vows, one of which, the very title for my series: In Sickness and In Health!
Enjoy the series so far:
In Sickness and In Health I
In Sickness and In Health II
In Sickness and In Health III
In Sickness and In Health IV
In Sickness and In Health V
In Sickness and In Health VI
In Sickness and In Health VII
In Sickness and In H
Know anyone in Singapore and the Haze?
I'm determined to finish my mini haze series with wedding couples. Do you know anyone getting married here or someone in Singapore at all?
Tag them or just help me share this facebook post so that it goes out to the internet so I can make the most of this moment!
Thank you!
